Department of Architecture and Urban Design
Department of Architecture and Urban Design offers 4 full-time vocational programs, including Architecture Design, Urban Planning, Landscape Engineering and Landscape Architecture. The department has nearly 1500 full-time students and 49 teaching and administrative staffs, among which 43 have master degree or above. Among the 38 full-time teachers, there are 20 with high-grade professional titles, 18 with medium-grade professional title, 21 with work experiences in designing institutes or relevant enterprises, 3 national first-class registered architects, 2 national certified urban planners, 1 national first-class registered constructor, 1 national registered supervision engineer, national grade ii registered architects, architecture and planning expert of National Guidance Committee for Vocational Education in Housing and Urban and Rural Construction, expert of Guangxi Agricultural Vocational Education Guidance Committee, expert of Guangxi Construction Vocational Education Guidance Committee. Specially invited part-time teachers involved in practical teaching are technical and management elites in the industry.
This department has higher vocational school’s professional construction and development project supported by central finance, quality professional project of Guangxi, model higher vocational education training base project of Guangxi, characteristic specialty and curriculum integration construction project for colleges in Guangxi, model characteristic specialty and the training base construction project of higher vocational education of Guangxi. The faculty has advanced Campus training bases, which are Building Virtual Simulation (3D) Experience Center, Professional Design Virtual Simulation Holographic Training Room, BIM Technology Application Center, 3d Model Printing Center, Art Classroom, etc. As off-campus practice bases are also established in industry enterprises, practical teachings are ensured to go on smoothly.
