Department of Public Elementary Courses
There are three teaching teams in General Education Department: Chinese and Mathematics Teaching Team, English Teaching Team and Physical Education Team.
At present, the department is mainly responsible for the education, teaching and scientific research activities of public basic courses in our college. The main courses are College English, Advanced Mathematics, Practical Writing and College Physical Education, among which College English, Taekwondo and Advanced Mathematics have been identified as excellent courses of the college.
By 2018, the department has a faulty of 53. Among them, including 30 postgraduates, 2 PhD students, 1 Professor, 6 associate professors, 21 lecturers, 1 international referee, 2 national first-class referees, 6 second-class referees, and 3 double qualified teachers. It is a teaching team with high academic level, rich teaching experience, reasonable age, job title, educational background and academic structure.
Every year, our department organizes and trains students for a variety of competitions and wins many prizes, such as the National College English Contest, Translation Contest, the "FLTRP" Cup National College English Speaking Contest , the National Mathematical Modeling Contest, etc. Our practice of combining in-class lecture and after-class training for better achievements in competitions has been a good example for higher vocational colleges in Guangxi.
